Warriors Run 2010 Strandhill Sligo - lots of fun for all the family

The Warriors Run is a gruelling 15K race that takes place annually in Strandhill, Co Sligo. The race which takes runners from the beachfront in Strandhill to the top of Knocknarea Mountain (1050ft), around a megalithic cairn called Queen Maeve’s Grave and back to the beachfront again!

It’s a great weekend of fun for all the family. There’s plenty of live music and street entertainment all weekend and there’s also a fun fair down at the beachfront. There are lots of  ‘kids’ races arranged to take place on Sunday August 29th. Here’s the family race schedule…

1.00PM – Registration Marquee OPEN (Junior Races Registration)

2.00PM – Junior Warriors Run Races (on The Beach)

3.00PM – Interpub Tug-O-War Challenge (on The Beach)

It’s worth noting that you can’t park in Strandhill so bring the buggy if you have little ones or even better use one of the many shuttle buses from Sligo. See Warrior’s Fun for the bus schedule…

Kids Review – Toy Story 3 3D

Toy Story 3 3D Review

I went on my holidays to Tramore in Waterford. I went with my Mum, Dad, brother & sister to Toy Story 3 in 3D. This is what it was like:Andy is going to college.”What are you going to do with your old toys”said Andy’s Mum. ”I am not leaving till Friday” Andy said. Andy sorted his toys. He put Woody in the box that he would bring to college. Andy put the other toys in a bag to go in the attic. They end up at Sunnyside day care centre and the adventure begins.

I liked the film & 3D.I think it was good for ages 3 & up. My family enjoyed the film too. 3D glasses made the film look like it was real. The glasses were too big for me so I tucked the glasses under my hairband.

It was fun. I hope you will like it too.
